Video Reaching the World!
2009-12-19
I recently visited my grandkids for Christmas.  My husband and I took and early Christmas
because we got a good price on flights.  We decided to do things differently this year.

When we got there, we began with taking our grandkids to a Christmas Celebration in
Burnsville, MN., and then we took them to WalMart and told them to pick out what
they wanted. (With a limit, of course).

Then, we took our oldest grandson to GameStop because he had his eye on a
video game that WalMart didn't have, so we headed there.

After that, we went to Culver's for some great food and ice cream. If you've never
had their ice cream, you've never tasted real ice cream!  It's great!

We headed back to their house and spent a couple hours playing games,
talking and laughing.

The next few days, were wonderful!  I spent the day working for my job, which is
mainly through the Internet and phone. Then, in the evenings we made cookies,
played games, videotaping funny videos and I bought my granddaughter a sewing machine
and decided to sow her a stuffed doll and cat.  I didn't have a pattern so we decided to use
their little dog for the pattern.  That was funny!  I enlisted the help of my son, who use
to fix and sell sewing machines.

Keith was elected to sew the tail, legs and body. The tail ended up longer than the body.
It was my job to create the head and decorate it with the eyes, nose, mouth and ears.
The face and head looked like an owl.  We had to do surgery on it, as Sarah said.
It was so much fun.  We laughed so loud and hard when it was being created at
how funny it was looking!

I enjoyed every moment with my kids and grandkids.  I have learned to live in the moment.
When my kids were young, I was so busy that I missed those moments. I was always focusing
on tomorrow, or the next minute, that I didn't enjoy the present moment.  It takes a concentrated
effort to focus on the moment...but how wonderful and enjoyable it is.   Even as I remember
and savor those moments now, it brings tears to my eyes because of how precious they are to me.

I pray that you will take time this Christmas season and this coming year to really
focus on the moment and savor them.  Really listen and hear what your kids and grandkids
are saying.  Find out what colors they like, or what their favorite food is.  I'm so glad I did.

I even shared with Colby about living in the moment. As we were sitting waiting for the
Christmas production, I said to Colby, "Colby, listen to the what you hear, see the lights,
the trees, the things around you, hear and see what is happening."  I know I he will
remember it, I know I do!  I share this with all my grandkids.  How to live in the moment.
It's so important, because if we don't we lose the greatest gift the Lord has given us,
moments with those we love.

I pray you have a blessed and prosperous New Year!
Until Next Time!

I've been creating video since 1998
when I started a community television
station called, "FCTV" on the local
cable channel 10. Since that time
I've created many things for my
businesses, and now I'm working
on creating video for
www.VISIONHEAVEN.com
In my opinion the ultimate privilege in video creation!

Do you enjoy videos?
Everyone loves a good video?

Video makes us laugh, cry and can even make us
want to purchase items.

Life without video would be pretty boring!
What did people do before TV, DVD's and movie theaters?

I guess they entertained each other in person.
Well, that the nice thing about TV, DVD's and Movies...
Hundreds, even thousands of people can watch the same
thing at the same time.

That makes video so powerful of a medium.

If you are marketing online and you are afraid
of the camera or don't like to see yourself on
the big screen - get over it!  That is, unless
you don't want to be effective in marketing.

People want to see who they are doing business with!

They want to know if you seem like an honest person.

They want to know if you are a real person!

They will buy based on what you tell them and
by what the see and hear.

So, get yourself a camera and start shooting!

Until next time...
Linda
